My Stories of Our Lives project has changed things for me over the past months, not least in that I have the opportunity to speak with people in a way that "normal" chit-chat conversation just doesn't allow.
My interview with Charlotte Cornell is a great example of this! I feel both fortunate for being able to spend time in her company - listening to her ideas and experiencing her insatiable appetite for social change - and also so excited to be able to share it with everyone else!
Please, watch this interview because this is a person who is going to change things for the better!
Charlotte is obviously highly intelligent and articulate, but it's not a superior, ivory tower intelligence, Charlotte's been OUT THERE, she's travelled, she's played professional poker (yep!), she's been a teacher, she's had two children ... this is a woman who has done things, and, yet, when you speak with her for any length of time, you KNOW that she's only getting started!
What's that quote attributed to Gandhi? "Be the change you want to see in the world!"
Enjoy!
Stories of Our Lives is my project to connect people by showing that despite our different beliefs and all the media noise that seems to want to separate us, underneath, we're all just people trying to tell our stories of who we are.
